Treatment Profile

A dental implant is a screw-like anchor made from bio-compatible material implanted into the jaw to replace missing teeth. A crown is then placed over it as a replacement of the missing tooth/teeth. They may also be used to support a partial or full denture and replace missing roots.

The first step is to take a CBCT scan. This is done to determine how much space and bond is there and see exactly where the nerve is for when planning the implant.

During your consultation Dr Julia will discuss the treatment with you and determine if you are a good candidate for an implant. You will be taken through the treatment options and associated costs so that you can make your decision.

Please bear in mind that this procedure is only for ages 20+, younger people are still growing and implants are not considered a safe option during this time.

We use a 100% titanium base that is biocompatible with your body. There are some metals that can rust in the mouth, acidic foods and drinks can rust the implant leading to implant failure.

Once you’ve decided to go ahead with the procedure we use the previously taken CBCT scan and use our state-of-the-art scan software to plan the implant size, it gives us the exact safety dimensions getting rid of the risk of implant failure. This software is also used to create a surgical guide for the mouth which is used during the procedure to ensure that the drill can’t go anywhere but in the exact location it’s meant to. This method is precise, pre-planned and leaves no room for error.
