Gina vividly recalls her first childbirth in 2004, a spontaneous vaginal delivery resulting in a third-degree tear and a lengthy recovery. Despite receiving guidance on pelvic floor exercises, Gina admits, "I didn’t really understand," something that many women can likely relate to.
Shortly after, Gina discovered she was pregnant with twins, born prematurely via emergency C-section at 27 weeks. The emotional toll of caring for the twins and visiting them in the hospital meant that pelvic floor exercises were, understandably, not at the top of Gina’s priorities list.
Tragically, one of the twins, Ryan, passed away at just four months old, amplifying Gina's emotional and physical challenges. Subsequent childbirths exacerbated her symptoms, leading to urinary issues, disrupted sleep, and a significant impact on her sex life.
