Why combine Morpheus 8 and Agejet?

1. Morpheus 8 to the lower face and neck
Firstly, we apply numbing cream to the lower face and neck area prior to the Morpheus8 treatment. Morpheus8 targets deeper layers of the skin using a dual-modality of micro-needling with radiofrequency. The micro-needling causes micro-injury which triggers the body’s immune response and kick-starts the skin’s fibroblasts which helps the skin to heal. The healing process produces new collagen helping to replace collagen lost with age. This helps to target skin laxity resulting in tighter and more lifted-looking skin.
2. AgeJet around the eyes and upper face
Nitrogen plasma is delivered into the skin for cell regeneration without creating an open wound. AgeJet uses heat energy to remodel the collagen structures creating a more effective and longer-lasting treatment response. This treatment does not require numbing cream, and most people experience moderate to intense heat during the treatment. AgeJet causes the skin to shed to reveal tighter, smoother skin so the downtime is usually 5-7 days.

What conditions can Morpheus8 treat?
Morpheus8 can be used on any area of skin and body including the face, neck, abdomen, knees, and arms. The treatment is most commonly carried out on areas that are showing signs of ageing such as the face and neck.
Areas of the face and body that are showing signs of discolouration, stretch marks or acne scarring are also suitable for treatment.
What areas can be treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any area of the body that shows signs of ageing. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck, double chin and abdomen. Knees and thighs are also a popular treatment area. Areas of the face and body that are showing signs of discolouration, stretch marks or acne scarring are also suitable for treatment.
What happens during the treatment?
Before the procedure, Dr Julia will apply medical grade numbing solutions (cream and/or injectable) as she is also an Advanced Dentist. Some time will be allowed for the numbing solutions to work. This will numb the skin ready for the treatment.
During the treatment you may feel some heat and a mild pricking sensation to the skin where the hand piece is applied. The treatment will take approximately 1hour 30minutes in total.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your treatment regime and your skin concerns, we recommend having between 2-3 sessions.
For acne scarring, often a resurfacing treatment will be performed which may require 4 sessions for optimal results.
Is there any downtime?
There may be some mild downtime with the Morpheus8 treatment. It is normal to have red, peeling skin and some mild bruising after the treatment for around 5 days.
What do I do after my treatment?
It's very important to moisturise the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the ageing process.
