Polynucleotides are an injectable product that contain the DNA from the gametes of either trout or salmon. The DNA is known to help regenerate and improve the skins texture, elasticity, hydration and tone. Polynucleotides have biostimulating effects and can stimulate the body's production of collagen and elastin which help to give the skin a more plump and youthful appearance, without changing the natural structures of the face.

Polynucleotides are injected into the skin and can be used in difficult areas to treat such as the under eye area. The procedure itself is quick and involves the injection of the product into the skin. To maximise results a treatment plan of a series of sessions at 4-6 weeks intervals is recommended.

Benefits of Polynucleotides

  • They help stimulate the body's production of elastin and collagen, both of which work to improve skin elasticity and firmness.
  • They help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and ageing, sagging skin.
  • They help increase skin's hydration levels, evening out skin texture.
  • Minimal downtime after treatment means clients can return to their normal duties just a few hours later

How Does It Work?

When receiving Polynucleotides treatment, a fine needle will be injected into various areas of the face.

Once injected into the skin polynucleotides trigger a skin repairing response which works to improve the overall texture of skin leaving it looking smoother and more youthful.

It also boosts cell renewal and stimulates the body's production of collagen, which helps improve skin elasticity and hydration, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

In comparison, filler sits under the skin, whereas polynucleotides disappear after being injected into skin and stimulating a regenerative response.

Polynucleotide Treatment FAQs

The Door W4

Polynucleotides are a revolutionary injectable treatment that are similar to skin boosters. They work on the cellular level of the skin and are a natural and safe way to improve many conditions of the skin such as fine lines, wrinkles and dehydration.

Polynucleotides can be used on areas of the face that other products are not safe to use, such as the delicate eye area. Extracted from the DNA of fish (either trout or salmon), the stretchy molecules mirror human skin cells replicating and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

As we age we loose precious collagen and elastin and this causes our skin to become thinner, lined and saggy. By stimulating the bodies natural production of collagen, we can help turn back the clock on ageing. Polynucleotides simulate the skin cells and help to promote the skins natural production of hyaluronic acid, the compound which keeps our skin hydrated.

In addition to this they stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. Therefore, they work great as a preventative treatment to ageing as well as being an active treatment for the recovery of ageing skin. Due to their cellular properties they can work to counteract dark circles under the eyes and treat crepey skin around the mouth and neck areas, leaving the skin looking more hydrated and youthful.

A typical course involves 2 sessions at The Door W4, though this may vary depending on individual skin concerns and goals.
Treatments are typically scheduled 2 to 4 weeks apart. The optimal interval will be determined by your practitioner at The Door W4, based on your bespoke treatment plan.
The cost of polynucleotide injections at The Door W4 start from £450.00 per area
Polynucleotide injections focus on cellular-level improvements in skin texture and hydration through natural collagen stimulation. In contrast, Profhilo, which is based on hyaluronic acid, is designed to tackle skin laxity and boost hydration more superficially than the regenerative approach of PNs.
Unlike fillers, which are intended to add volume and shape to specific facial areas, polynucleotide injections at The Door W4 do not provide volume. Instead, they enhance skin health and appearance through cellular regeneration and hydration.
The treatment carries very little pain and downtime. The treatment is carried out using a very fine needle to reduce any pain or downtime, some patients may experience very mild discomfort, but the treatment is usually very tolerable.
The effects of polynucleotide treatments can last for several months, with some clients reporting lasting results for up to a year or more. The durability of results varies based on individual skin condition, lifestyle, and follow-up treatments.
Yes, polynucleotide injections can be integrated with other aesthetic treatments offered at The Door W4 to address a wider array of skin concerns and achieve more comprehensive rejuvenation.
